Ron Santo, a legendary Cub player and WGN Radio announcer, must have
surgery sometime this week or early next week to remove tumors found on
his bladder. Santo has had a tough go of it the last couple of years...
he had to have both of his legs amputated due to complications from
diabetes. Yet, he has always been there to root on the Cubbies, and has
probably been their most loyal supporter outside of Harry Caray and Jack
Brickhouse.
