Lucky cat. The old cat I have now wouldn't have survived
what that cat went through. She's getting old and frail.

I had a cat that killed a six foot bull snake and fed it
to her kittens. Bull snakes that size are powerful. I tried
to save some bunnies from a bull snake half the size of the one my
cat killed. It was almost to strong for me. The little bunnies
didn't survive. I have no doubt the bull snake could have killed
my cat, but, I doubt it could have eaten her. She brought the dead
snake into the garage through a window. All her kittens were
feasting on the snake.

My cat woulod bring them into the house to play with.... Much to my wife's
consternation. When he was tired of playing with them, he would just walk
away and forget about them. We were unable to teach him to bring them back
outside......

Cats seldom listen.

Every spring this old girl cat goes out and tries to wipe out the
local rabbit population. She does a pretty good job. She's gotten
at least ten this year. When she brings them into the house to eat
it's better to let her kill it before trying to take it away or she
lets it go and were both chasing it around the house.

The old girl sure has been a happy cat these last few years. The evil,
feral, biker cats from hell haven't been around trying to beat her up
for a long time. I started feeding the neighborhood dogs so their not
running around trying to kill anything that moves, trying to get a
meal. These are good dogs and they're even friendly toward cats now.
The old girl has several cat friends. They all follow me around the
yard. Since the weather has gotten warm she's been spending most of
her time outdoors. Before the dogs calmed down she was afraid to go
outside unless I was there to keep her safe.

The old girl likes to go out to the marsh and stand on roots of the
Bald Cyprus trees and wait for something to pounce on. She got a good
sized ground squirrel the other day. She brought it in the house to
eat. I was impressed with how much meat was on that thing when I took
it away from her. It was soaking wet so she must have gotten it at the
marsh.
