24th Annual Jellicle Ball, 13OCT2019
 

As always, kittens and sundry friends gather. The setting this year is
at Big Cedar Lodge in the Ozark mountains. A fishing and hunting
resort with a main lodge, many out buildings and camping areas, things
to do. The Grand Poohbah reserved the Cat Lodge and surrounding field
with camping area and a pier for fishing for them. It is in a secluded
treed area with a clearing for the event. A stage has been setup for
Hercule and band as well as a podium for speakers.

The trees are mostly large oaks, Hickory, Pine, Pecan and Elm. This is

Quite a few 2foots are at the main lodge. A few of them are friends in
the know such as A Meowmie. Those gather together and quietly chat,
being circumspect in what they say. Local cats carefully collect
tributes to be read, written by them for the ball. They are easy to
spot if you know what to look for. For example, A Meowmie has her
ponytail tied back with a hot pink bow and wears a Blind Dog Rescue
Alliance Tshirt and her Mary Jane shoes have cats on them. Nothing
obtrusive to the rest of the humans there.

At the main event, local cats unobtrusively set up a sign in book with
plenty of pens and a basket of fire safe glow sticks in all the colors
of the fall foliage about them.
