OHHH! I thought you were thinking his cat was FeLV+. I assumed FeLV
because of his "Stray w. +Leukemia Flyer", "stray with +leukemia" and
"Urgent: Leukemia positive stray--have to make a quick decision"
posts.

Oh, sorry, I was too lazy to go back and look at his previous posts. I
remembered him writing them but I didn't remember if it was FIV or FeLV.
Apparently, it was FeLV then. So....OP...sorry...forget I mentioned it. I was
talking about FIV. But I agree with what Laura said...I would let him have
free rein of the room anyway. Everything I have read about FeLV indicates that
it takes prolonged contact with a positive cat to contract it...like sharing
food bowls, litterboxes, etc. over a long period...not just being in the same
house with the no direct contact. I certainly hope you are able to place Big
Boy with a FeLV+ home or shelter.
