I've heard that pumpkin is good for constipation in cats, but I have

I would think that Vaseline will work. But be coy about it at first,
like giving it a whiff of the Vaseline as your finger passes by. Within
short time, it should lick the Vaseline right off of your finger. Don't
know why, but they like it.

Vaseline is not good for cats. It might cure the constipation, but it
creates fumes that can get into the lungs and create real problems. There
is paste (such as Laxatone) that can be used for constipation. Some cats
will like it right off your fingers; others will have to be "forced" by
rubbing some on the paw or on the side of the mouth.
