Iowna hops up to them and challanges PookyKat to a race. PookyKat
goes, no way can this doggie outrun me!

They set to the trail , Iowna even giving PookeyKat the inside line.

Setting toes in, they get the signal and the race is on!

Racing along, PookyKat gets a suprize! Iowna is FAST! A memory
sparks, she was a SHOW DOGGIE CHAMP! Digging in, PookyKat flys and
does better on the turns but when Iowna hits a flataway, she soars
over the ground barely touching it. As they hit the last stretch,
Iowna goes all out next to PookyKat, then, she slides on a tiny
branch! Head over heels with nose tucked in, she stumbles then
slides butt first over the finish line just before PookyKat!

A moment of silence then Iowna giggles and asks PookyKat for a paw up
and congratulates him as it was first nose over the line, not first
butt!



PookyKat laughs and helps her up. He can't believe a Venerable aged
Dog no bigger than him could run that fast! He was a little worried
she might have hurt herself, but she assures him, she learned to 'tuck,
and roll at speed' when she was only 4-5 months old and she's fine.
He's had fun and decides it was a tie. Her turning paw however has had
enough so they wander off the playing field to have a few drinks.

PookyKat gets a mice mousekatel while Iowna with her simpler tastes
asks the racoon server, for a Budweiser and a bowl. Wandering back,
they find Ranger Dude and the gang. They'd snagged a few of their Chez
Shenk's special cookies to share.

(These have proven so popular, there is a small run from Chez Shenks
via cataporter as they come out, to be added to the tables).
