I actually managed to get a pic of Lorelei looking out of the window.

She spends a LOT of time in her cat tree, but I rarely see her looking
out of the window: all there is to look at now is snow...and more
snow
* *I iz gwad to see dat she luks wike a contented
cat. See, unka Gandaff, yoo wuz so wurried 'bowt
her wen she first came to libf wif you. But now
she seems to hab settled in nicely.

* *Yoo is boof lucky to haff fownd eech ofur!

Thank you, I think so too

She seems to happy here...or content, at least: she's not getting much
Fancy Feast, any more.

But, she does have VERY high quality dry food.

Lorelei is STILL scared to go into my living room, and I don't know
why

Fortunately, I have plenty of time, for her to continue to 'settle in'.

That is strange about her fear of the living room. *Perhaps a sprinkle
or two of catnip would help make it friendlier. *Might be worth a try.

I've tried catnip, and *Feliway, with no luck.

She will meatloaf on the floor 3 - 4 feet away from me, where I sit at
my computer desk, and I CANNOT lure her to come to me

Another mystery from how she was brought up.

Perhaps, where-ever she was before, she was not allowed in the living
room? She is a lovely cat
and she's looking at you with such trust!

I'm sure it is something like that.

Perhaps her previous humans had a 'study', or a 'home office', or some
other room with a computer, that was very strictly 'off limits' for her.

She likes to watch me use the computer....but she's afraid to approach
me when I'm using it, even with LOTS of encouragement.

She IS a VERY sweet and good natured cat...she just needs more time to
get used to me, and to her new home.

She is a big kitty, but she has the sweetest 'little meow'.

She doesn't talk a lot, but she is VERY good at letting me know when she
wants something

When she meows, it's usually for a reason.

And, if I call her name out, most of the time she will meow back to me,
as well. She seems to be a happy cat, here in my home.

I have plenty of time, for Lorelei, to help her get used to her new
home
