Default Help with pilling a cat

Yes, I would try crushing it and putting it in some canned food. The vet
also can sell you a pill popper which is very good (long and very thin).

Sasha has CRF and is doing well on fluids. Dr prescribed a medication
for her appetite this week because she is dropping weight because she
is not eating enough. My problem is if she puts up a fuss and I don't
get the pill down the first time, she start salivating like crazy and
lapping her tongue. i feel so bad seeing her like this and here I am
trying to force her to swallow. I open her jaw with one hand and the
other I hold the pill with 2 fingers and 1 finger i use to drop her
tongue a little so the pill goes to the back of her throat. Any advice
on how we can do this without her slopping at the mouth is
appreciated.

Try a pet piller available at Petmeds for $2.99. Try grinding up the pill
and mixing with food. Try pill pockets, $8.99 at Petsmart.
