That assumes a rational mind. She sounds mentally ill to me, or at the
very least, a pretty dysfunctional, flaky person, not one who makes
rational decisions. Note: before the Tough On Crime cadre jumps on me,
I am not saying she shouldn't be charged or convicted - I would love to
see her do some time for this. All I'm saying is that in her mind, she
probably did think of herself as loving those animals. I don't think this
has anything to do with her feelings.
I've volunteered in an animal shelter, giving TLC to cats waiting to be
adopted, and have felt a lot of affection for and from many of the cats.
To think that some of them could have gone to someone like this is really
heartbreaking.
