God gawds, he really *is* a good doc - most surgeons whip out their scalpels
before you're out of the door on your first visit!! Mine was supposedly
really good - he has pictures of himself working with NASA scientists on the
effects of microgravity on the human body. But he still didn't know the
difference between C6 - C7 and C4 - C5 (or possibly C5 - C6, I can't
remember just now and I'm too lazy to go look it up). The latter are the
ones that radiate pain down to the ring finger which is where my pain is.
So not only did I get unnecessary surgery, sugary that a magnified my RSD
pain by about 1,000, but he did it on the totally wrong spot!!! Now that I
know where the pain is coming from, it's too late to do anything except make
it worse - I won't have another spinal surgery no matter how tempted I am or
how low I get from the pain. Like the pain pills, I handed that to Ben to
keep from me ;!!

Mega healing purrs still coming - I hope it really is an early recovery for
you.

Hehehe she gets plenty of goodies! She got 2 shrimp tails with her

Grin, they never all 4 go off at once. I'm actually feeling just a little
better today which is oddly early. This particular one has been bad since
2001. The others came along later. Usually little change for 2 weeks
then slowly a bit better. By 3-3.5 weeks, 'normal for me levels'.

I'm sure I don't have to tell *you* this, but don't let anyone with a
scalpel anywhere near you unless you can get rid of the pain no other way

Yup. I'm holding off. I have one bit of luck. My spine doc is counted
one of the top 10 spine surgeons in the nation.

His words paraphrased: delay as long as you can and still smile with
quality of life. The reason is the technology is growing by leaps and
bounds.

Kinda like early knee surgery and today.
