SACN IV. I've already posted this info before (and so has Steve Crane).
Care
to apologize? "didn't think so"

For what? All you did was quote a book that Steve posted, Small Animal
Clinical Nutrition, 4th ed. is published by the Mark Morris Institute also
known as Hill's Science Diet. I want YOU to tell me, including references,
exactly how corn is appropriate for a carnivore, and references from Hill's
don't count.

Lauren,
I'm pretty sure you know this. But just in case it slipped your
mind, SACN IV is published by Morris Animal Foundation, the largest
animal philanthropy in the world. You can certainly find their web
site and review what they do. The authors of each section of the book
are NOT employed by Hill's nor Morris Animal Foundation, they are the
individuals who have previously authored nearly 4,000 peer reviewed
publihsed pieces of work which are the basis for the book. The
bibliography contains the original authors, original published work,
original peer reviewed published studies upon which each chapter of
the book has been created. For instance the authors of the section on
renal failure are TA Allen, DJ Polzin, LC Adams, CD Thatcher, RL
Remillard et al. NONE of these folks work for Hill's nor have they
ever worked for Hill's. In a few chapters Hill's researchers who have
published in peer reviewed published works are contributing authors.
Phil Roudebush DVM, Diplomate of the American Veterinary College of
Dermatology is an author and also immediate past president of the
World Veterinary Dermatology organization. He happens to be a Hill's
employee. The vast majority of the authors are NOT and have NEVER been
either Hill's employees nor Mark Morris employees. You simply dislike
the book because it illustrates your very poor understanding of
nutrition and your clearly fringe lunatic ideas too often.
