I was talking to someone the other day about my new white cat and she asked
me if she was deaf. I said no and she said that most white cats were. I
have never heard this before, is it true?

No, not most white cats. There is a genetic association in blue-eyed white cats
with deafness, but that doesn't even mean that most blue-eyed cats are deaf. If
your cat doesn't have blue eyes, she is no more likely to be deaf than any
other color of cat.
