Oh, I almost forgot: if you have one in your area, try using some
fresh-bought Kentucky Fried Chicken as bait (get a small whatever is
cheapest). To this day I have found that KFC attracts ferals like crazy,
MUCH better than smelly fish.

It may be fried chicken in general. I used it to lure my two feral
kittens to me when I was fostering them, like moths to a flame!
