The one certainty in this world is our mortality. As a big fan of "Lord of
the Rings," I agree that "man" is but death and destruction. (Can't wait
for "Return of the King," to be released before Christmas, that will
undoubtedbly be just as spectacular and awesome as the other Ring movies!)
You stated what I feel so well that all I can add is credit the human race
for being the only species that developed the means to destroy the world and
all living things. Genetic engineering? Lab created organisms and viruses?
Cloning? Cloning is reverse evolution. Now isn't that special? We're well
on our way headed for extinction and, guess what? Cats will rule the world.
