I found it odd that my Gnarly purred the whole time she gave birth.


Many cats purr when they are in pain. The general consensus seems to be that
it is a way of comforting themselves.

My troublemaker, Rowan, purrs when I yell at her to stop doing whatever she's
doing (getting into things, pulling towels off the racks, trying to eat my
plants, or whatnot). She knows it makes me melt. Only cat I've ever had that
runs TO me when I yell and clap my hands. Little bugger.
She's got MY number. *heh*
