Providing the latest news on Allegra, "Great Girtha," as she
celebrates her fifteenth birthday on March 26, 2004

At the age of fifteen, Great Girtha is officially retiring
from active sumo competition. She intends to become an oyakata
(stable master) of a heya (sumo training stable), to train
younger kitties in the techniques of the sport.

Great Girtha would like to thank all the members of the Great

Honors List:

At Girtha Farms (a division of Girtha Enterprises), the North
Forty field has been designated the Mrs. Wiggles and Pouncer
Memorial Field.

Capt. Midnight is commended for his work in animal rescue.

Great Girtha is pleased to announce the formation of the Great
Girtha Book Club! She will recommend reading material of
exceptional merit that she encourages all to read and discuss.

The first selection is the book "The Silent Miaow," translated
from the Feline by Paul Gallico, with photos by Suzanne Szasz.
