Last week, I had a CT scan of my abdomen; they were thinking I may
have gallstones.

They did the scan of my entire abdominal area, including pelvis.

I have an ovarian cyst. And I am scared.

Anybody here have experience with this?

off to find a referral to a gynecologist

While I don't have any first-hand experience with ovarian cysts, my
mother had several which were successfully removed. All were benign.

I did have the experience, back in 1989, of having a testicular cyst
removed. It was very scary finding a lump that was getting noticably
larger from one day to the next, and having it diagnosed as
non-malignant was a relief. Actually having it removed was an even
larger relief, as the internal pressure had built up to painful
levels.
