Default Cat hair in the keyboard

I keep a small brush and a fingernail file near the computer, and frequently
use one or both to clean out cat hair between the keys.

I had a hard time typing the Cloe/Chloe message because the backspace key
kept sticking: trying to back up over a character or two would wipe out
half a line before I could stop it. It turned out to be a wad of cat hair
under and around the key cap. The keyboard itself is indestructable -
it's a True Blue IBM AT era keyboard (solid mechanical clicks and too
heavy to slide around), but it's not immune to dirt and cat hair (the one
at work (same design, but by Lexmark) is beginning to clog up with potato
chip crumbs). This keyboard is so old it has a large round DIN connector
and requires at least one adaptor to use with a modern computer. Being
indestructable, I don't worry too much about what the cats might do to it
(I have a spare anyway).
