truth is Dyna, I had every intention of getting Miss Violette's claws stolen
when I got fixed what wasn't broken on her. Before we did that furry and I
looked on the net and were so horrified at what furry saw we did not let the
ted steal her claws or TV or OEJ's either. Since I had not discouraged them
very much from scratching thinking I would get new furniture after their
claws were stolen, I blew it. The loss of some furniture was a small price
to pay for such a lesson though. Soft

Does carpet really provide a scratching post for the cats? These

they sell look like fun toys for the cat but do they really provide

scrathin post. I thought they do that to sharpen and clean their

Would a soft wooden post be a better choice? I dont see any made of

wood. Some had rope wrapped around which seemed a better idea the
carpet.

Dyna likes the rounds of corregated cardboard a lot
(some nip rubbed on it helps to get her started)
They are fairly inexpenive too.
She also likes the sisal rope post.
She doesn't like her nails cut, and the posts don't help with that.
