Default On the subject of litterbox habits...

Is your cat delicate or a digger? (Those of you with multiple cats/boxes
will likely have varying answers.) Sometimes I think Buffy is trying to
dig her way to China!

Buffy's litterbox, like her predecessor Persia, is in the master bath
where the toilet and the tub are located. (The vanity/sinks are just
outside of it.) In the middle of the night I can hear her in there,
digging away. Sometimes I think she's slapping the box just to wake me
up. I don't sleep very soundly anyway but just because I open my eyes
doesn't mean I'm getting up at 3AM to play!

So, delicate or a digger?

Can depend on their mood.

One Dearly Departed Cat I had was not averse to using the box, but
now and then simply wanted to go outside. If I was in bed, I'm not
the kind to get up and open the door.

Ever hear a cat stomp? This one did. Hardwood hallway. Stomp from the
door to the outside to the door to the bedroom. (and then make an
irritated meow) A friend of mine said theirs did this too and they
called it the **** Dance.

Finally he'd throw in the towel and use the box. Only this time,
he made sure to get down to the plastic bottom of the box with
his claws: screet screet SCREET SCREET

Hilarious.
