Is Cat Grass just a different name for Catnip? If not, what are the
differences between the two?

Thanks.

Catnip is a member of the mint family.

Most, but not all, cats love it, whether to eat it, roll around in it,
whatevewr. They may react differently: some get all releaxed, some get more
excited. It appears to be self-limiting - cats will only eat or roll around
in it just so much per session, & there appear to be no residual
after-effects. If you or someone else grows it in the garden, you can give
it to them fresh - just picked, or you may even find it grwoing in the
wild - such as along property lines, the edges of roads, etc. Or it can be
bought dried & crumbled, in packages.

The grass they sell for cats isn't catnip. I haven't bought it in a good 25
years, so am not sure what varieties of grasses - or grains - are used.
They don't get "high" on the grass(es) - just chew it, maybe for digestive
purposes?
