The cat's response to the other cat was an absolutely normal one and it
certainly doesn't mean she can't get along with other cats. Exposing her
to your cat right away was a huge mistake. When you bring a new cat into
the house you need to keep it in a separate room for a week or so and
then start doing a *very* slow introduction. Here are instructions:
