Two studies with rather different conclusions:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0330122530.htm

Well I guess my preferences are different when I'm coming round

The truth is that cats are individuals, with different preferences. I
can understand why the first study showed that heavy metal wasn't
relaxing. I can't imagine why anybody thought it might have been.
