Default introudcuing the newest members of our family

we went back to the animal shelter today to visitthe furbabies and to
see if there was somebody who really wanted to come home with us. And
guess what? Scout and Silver mewed at us and stuck their heads out of
their cage when they saw us walk in the door! of course i'm sure they
did that for everyone becaue they're wonderfully sweet, friendly
socialised kittkes, but it was flattering nonetheless.

I was planning to go siti in the adult room and see who came to me, b
ut we never got that far. The lady behind the counter said that scout
and silver were waiting for us, and persuaded us t od othe paperwork
right away. So i cuddled them in tu8rn whiile john filled out all the
paperwork, and then we took them home in a cardboard carrier. They
were both VERY good on the way - no hisspitting, fighting or making
meses in the carrier, just a few plaintive mews to 'let me out
please!' and some scrabbling at the box. We really weren't ready for
them so I ran int the pet supermarket and said 'where's the kitty
stuff please?' and then grabbed a littlebox kit, litter etc.

And now they're home, and spent most o f the afternoon hiding under
the bed. I don't think they'll be there for long though - Silver has
already come out and jumped onto the bed and into my lap, and jumped
up onto John's chair and demanded her share of attention. I hope it
won't take Scout long to make the same realisations - this is their
home now, and we want them to be happy

That's so great, Karen. I remember you weren't allowed to have cats
before, so this is a very nice change.

Congratulations on your new additions! I'm sure it won't take Scout and
Silver long to realize they have a wonderful home. In fact, it looks as
thought Silver has already figured that out.
