My poor kids
I had some hard wood flooring put in yesterday and the noise of the
hammering and generator's completely freaked Bonnie and Squeak out. I found them both hiding under our bed and Squeak came out thinking it was safe if I was there. I took him downstairs thinking that was best, but he ran into the unfinished part of the basement where his litter box is and I couldn't find him for hours. I went upstairs to find the installers had left the front door open (it was 38 degree's) and thought for sure Squeak had split. I looked everywhere for the little guy inside and out. No Squeak. I was panicked all day and when they finally left I heard Squeak in the unfinished part of the basement and could not find him. I looked up and there he was in the ceiling between the floor upstairs and the ceiling downstairs. My little hunter was shaking like a leaf, but real happy for me to climb up and get him. Note to self....no more home improvements unless it's not so damn loud. -- StocksRus® |

aw, poor babies. Give them extra skritches from us for the scare. When our
house got new siding and roof after a halestorm, there was a lot of banging and loud noise too. Jazz disappeared for a few hours until the construction workers left. I couldn't find him either, he has these little hidey holes he disappears into when he's scared. Thank goodness he is too big to get into a place where we can't easily extract him from. Purrs for the poor kitties
Mine freak out a little when the gardner walks by the apartment with the leaf blower on. When he's right next to the window, Imp makes a beeline for under the bed, and Mischief looks at me warily, in case she needs to run too. Kristi |

Aww indeed. When I had serious work done in the house, Mimi (RB)
would be a little quivering mass, so I sent her to my BF, whom she adored. He would spoil her rotten, and she would think she was on vacation. Theresa Awww. Just like going to summer camp! Sherry |

Sherry And she got daily workouts, too, because she adored him to chase her all over the house and up and down the stairs, and he would do it-- in fact, she wore him out. Sort of their version of cross-country. She was a teeny little thing, never more than 6 pounds, and he was 6'3", and they sounded like an earthquake. Could have got himself evicted. When they were doing road repair outside our old place, there was a floating population of 3-6 cats sitting in the windows watching them at any one time. Pam S. |

Soothing purrs and headbutts from our cats to yours. My crew would go out there wearing little kitty hard hats and direct the workers if they could. They love watching hoomins work. Pam S. |
