I still have nightmares 50 years later that I'm in high school and can't remember the combination to my locker or I can't find my locker. Ah, high schools with combination lockers. Isn't it great how some things never change? I imagine that 50 years ago, it was like that movie, "Back to the Future". I wonder if high schools had lockers with combinations 100 years ago also? |

Beautiful Bev, did they save some for your breakfast too?
Iwish Wilson would make my breakfast, not eggs though I keep MINE in the fridge lucky me. regards and Purrs p.s. did they help to clean up the mess? Jean P "Bev" wrote in message ... The kitties developed a liking for eggs when they tipped them from the top of the frig a couple of times. This necessitated my shifting them to the back of the servery against the wall, supposedly out of reach. This morning they were dining on scrambled eggs. A six pack of eggs in a transparent plastic egg container had been batted all the way from the back of the servery onto the kitchen floor. Smash!!! Gobble gobble gobble, slurp. Perhaps it's time to put the eggs in the frig. as people suggested last time. Frig doors are not easy for kitties to open - hummmmmmmmmmm, famous last words. LOL Hey, I'm the first to admit that I would forget a combination lock. I would write down the combination and then forget where I put it! There's this condition called "CRS" - happens to women around the end of their 40s, or early 50s. You 40-50-somethings know what I'm talking about, right? Not being able to remember things like numbers, or nouns. Or names. Um, ah, er... oh, yeah - Joyce |

when I was in England on holiday a few yrs ago, I came back to find the lady{?] who lived in rent free to look after Henri R.B.[which she didn't do] had left me with all sorts of troubles. had also left me without a slice of bread or a skeric of milk but I spied some eggs on the kithen bench,oh well I thought I'll borrow some milk off one of my neighbours and have scrambled eggs for breakfast, so I did this when I got up next morning, but alas! every egg I cracked was black inside how long had she left them there?lord only knows, I hope she didn't expect me to eat them, did she? Cheers and Purrs to you all. Jean P "Hopitus2" wrote in message ... When we lived in Bay area, CA, I used to keep eggs in a cute wire container shaped like a hen! It was usually around 60 degrees F. and colder in winter. They kept nicely there, but *not* here in south FL.....it's the fridge for them year-round here. It was a few short of 100, but we used keys,MLB Ours started out with keys, but kids at our school were notorious for losing keys so they switched to combination locks one summer. I understand that a lot of the newer schools don't even have lockers anymore. Everyone has to lug everything around in backpacks. Nan |

Bev -- God may have created man before woman but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece. I knew as soon as I posted this that everyone would be on about not keeping eggs in the frig. lol. From my point of view when I went to the US I was amazed at what they kept in the frig, jam, honey, chocolates, coffee, bread, etc. I may start keeping eggs in the frig because of the kittens but it is such a temperate climate here that eggs are fine uncooled, and you don't have to bother taking them out of the frig early if you want to do some baking. (says she, who does a minimum of baking, lol). B & C enjoyed the scrambled eggs BTW, their busy little tongues polished off all the yolks and left me the whites to mop up. Bev -- |

I have heard of a cat that learned to open fridge doors and oven doors. The owners had to keep the fridge closed with those "bungee" cords...... even then the cat was seen *twanging* the cord with a considering look on its face. -- Jette "Work for Peace and remain Fiercely Loving" - Jim Byrnes http://www.jette.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ |
