Help! We are under attack by massed barnacle geese!
"Jack Campin" wrote in message ... I discovered something that is *not* a good cat toy. I got a set of CDs of British Birdsong, given away as freebies with a newspaper, produced by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Put CD 1 on the stereo to see what the furries thought of it. They went berserk. Chloe just stood up on an armchair like a meerkat with her eyes nearly popping out of her head. Marblecake and Courtney dashed round the house frantically looking for where the birds were hiding. I think the CD got as far as track 3 (of 50) before I took it off. The tracks were ordered alphabetically - avocets, barnacle geese and bee-eaters all got the same reaction. I sometimes log onto a bird-identification website (Cornell I think) and the cats FREAK out. Running around, pawing at the speakers....lol. |
