I just mentioned to DH again that the expression 'giving
someone ears' or 'giving the ear' has caught on to describe the
behavior. She's delighted and sends her best regards to everyone. I
wish I could get her to join the group, but while she's great at
researching things on the web, she's never used newsgroups.

I'd just love to hear Charlie tell a kitty to put their ears
back up, and I'm more than a little surprised that it works. We'll
have to try that -- we just comment on it when it happens and laugh
at the cat.
