Beware of "no subject" email
I received a message from a good friend. The subject line was blank, but
when I opened it I found that he has apparently been hacked. The message actually led to a Viagra site. I am usually very careful when I click on links, but my brain wasn't working very well on that one. I contacted him, and he said his entire list of addresses was "grabbed," and everyone on it received that message. This appears to be the same problem as the one that someone on anecdotes encountered. So, if any of you receive what looks like a message from me but which does not have anything in the subject line, please discard it. It looks like this is a widespread problem. However, I suspect that it is malicious but one that may not be doing any actual damage (but well worth avoiding). My virus checker did not find anything suspicious. MaryL |

Thanks, Mary, I got one of these from an old client in my address book, it was also for a pharmaceutical company. I wish these people would figure out that I don't have a penis. It should be obvious. If I did my IQ would be lower. har! |
