Default Custer has a buddy

I've just adopted an 15 month old from a friend whose going through a
divorce and can't keep him. He's dark-grey/black tabby with white feet
and white spot in the middle of his forehead. He also has markings on
his belly that look like smiley face, so he's called Smiley.

He and Custer are best buds, and Muddy is really happy because Custer
has somebody else to use as a tackling dummy. The only downside is that
Smiley has been teaching Custer lots of bad habits, now no countertop is
safe, the top of the kitchen cabinets are perfect sleeping quarters, and
Butter must be put in the fridge ;-)

You just adopted him, and they're already best friends? That was
easy.

He came about 6 weeks ago, but he's a very easy cat to integrate, good
natured to Emily and Muddy and the right age to appreciate Custer's
antics so things settled down really quickly. I think Muddy was just
grateful that he didn't get rugby tackled every time he walked through
the living room ;-)

I was worried at first that Emily might be really put out and that he
might chase her. Smiley quickly learned not to mess with the "Grey Lady"
'cause she'll kick your ass from her to next week, and after that lesson
was learned things couldn't have been smoother.

Our cats recently discovered the countertops. We see things rearranged when
we get home. Sneaky little critters. ;-)
