Oh, she is most assuredly ecstatic in that picture. You'd think a big
macho stud like Giovanni would like a trophy wife, but it doesn't seem
to be happening. Just tonight she was tormenting him while he was
trying to get his beauty rest, and he ended up roughing her up a little
(which she seemed to enjoy). I'm afraid he could rip her in half if he
wanted to. His jaws are like a bench vise - Giovanni is a staggeringly
powerful cat.

Does her name come
from the sound of her jumping off the counter? Or the sound of people
fainting from her cuteness?

I wanted to give her a short name that conveyed a powerful image, just
as an ego booster.

Alas, she's completely non-responsive to the name.

My neighbor named a new stray Elsie because she looked just like the
cow. Big white with large brown and black spots. Just when Elsie started
to respond to the name, we got close enough to observe that Elsie was a
boy. So now we have to get him used to Elmer.

That is a "hoot"! MLB

Tawny got his name in a similar manner. He was an orange kitten, and
originally I named "her" Tanya Leona (for tawny lion). That was fine until
one day when I saw him washing his private parts, and then he became Tawny.

Hi MLB, I too use Linux of the Mint verity but I'm not as elderly only
being 81. A trick I found for increasing font size is to hold the
Control Key down and roll the scroll wheel on the mouse forward. If you
haven't tried that already it might help. I'm using Thunderbird to read
the News Group posts which might make some difference if you are using
some other program. If you answer this let me what mail reader you are
reading'
