Default Some sad news

Dear friends,

It has been a long time since Spike and Stormy posted here. I'm sorry
to report that they both went to The Bridge in April. Spike was
diagnosed with diabetes on March 4. Feline diabetes is usually a
manageable disease but we were never able to get him regulated and he
developed diabetic ketoacidosis twice in five weeks. He left for The
Bridge last Friday, April 29, two weeks after his 12th birthday.

Stormy just plain stopped eating on April 2. Three TED's - regular,
emergency and specialist - couldn't find out what was wrong and she left
on April 12. All I can think is that somehow she knew Spike wouldn't
make it and she went ahead to be there for him.

Spike and Stormy had a gudgud time in rpc and rpcc starting in 1997 and
made many good friends. I'm sure they're happy at the Bridge and
continuing to purr for all their frens.

We are all very sad to hear this. It's always very difficult for those
left behind when a kitty goes to the Rainbow Bridge, and especially when
it's more than one kitty.

Spike and Stormy are together now, playing in the sun-filled fields of
grass and flowers and mice and birdies, and spending time with all their
dear friends. We will be purring that your own hearts heal soon.

The Clark kitties meatloaf and purr for Spike and Stormy and their
family. Miss Tuffy did not long survive her beloved Studmuffin,
either. Many other newly arrived kitties will also be greeting Spike
and Stormy, it seems. Healing purrs from our house to yours.
