This might be just a lark on my part, but we'll see. I received a message
today about a job opening way outside of California. Nancy and I have
been
talking about wanting to leave CA for a long time, but haven't been able
to do to family support needs. I have no idea whether we can resolve
those
issues (like by trying to interest the family members in question in
leaving SoCal), but getting a nice, clean start in a smaller area sure
has
an attractive sound to it.

If y'all could spare a few purrs over the next few weeks, they would be
appreciated. We just might see if leaving LaLa-land is in the cards for
us.

Dan

Followup - I've been invited to a face-to-face interview with the
out-of-state people! Problem is, I'm still not seeing any way to be able
to get out of SoCal without abandoning folks who need me nearby. We're
looking for a solution that would work for everyone and still allow us to
get the heck out of here.

Continuing purrs would be appreciated.

Woohoo! Concats and purrs!!

You got 'em, Dan. The "leaving folks" is truly the hard part. Purrs
and prayers that you can reach a successful and rewarding resolution.

Latest news - I will be flying to Iowa Thursday, for a job interview
Friday. And it is starting to look like it might actually be possible for
me to make the move without leaving leaving family stranded. We have been
making progress.
