Excuse me for shouting but:

I got a phone call awhile ago I thought I would never get. GEORGE CALLED.
He woke up from the coma he was in on Monday. He had been asleep, for lack
of better way to say it, since April 27. He wouldn't let anyone call me
until he knew he was sure he was going to make it. Walks with a walker and
the memory loss are the things he has to work on.

He has a lot of short term memory loss but is in remarkable mind for what
he has been through. He called on his way home, from North Carolina, with
his brother driving him home.

Don't let anyone every say prayers and purrs don't work.

How lovely, so pleased to hear such good news.

From what I understand from reading, there may never be a "normal"
again but he is already way ahead of what the doctors said would be if
he indeed, did wake up. Thank you.

Thank you but right now my body is way too tired to climb to the roof. I
told George that if he had anyone else to call, to let someone else call
first and warn them. That was a heck of a shock for someone who has had a
heart attack.

Fantastic news, of course purrs and prayers work, we see it here all the
time.
