Time flies
This is old news, more of an anniversary announcement.
A year ago this week I decided to trap Whitie, the mostly white, black and white ex-feral tom cat, I'd been feeding so I could take him in to be neutered. The plan when I made the appointment was to give him to customer who wanted a barn cat. I made an appointment, but he didn't show up on the day he was supposed to go to TED. I made another appointment for the 17th. I managed to catch him and haul him in on the 16th to be boarded overnight, so he would have an empty stomach before the surgery. I figure the reason I was able to catch him was because of all the purrs being sent, as I was posting updates and getting trapping advice here. Anyway, I picked him up from the clinic on the 18th. By that time I'd pretty much given up on the barn cat idea, and gave him a real name. It's about time for me to go to bed. I imagine there will be a mostly white, black and white ex-feral tom cat sprawled across the middle of the bed, as there is most nights when I go to bed. I'll wake him up with a few scritches, and pet him for a few minutes. Tthen he'll go get his before bed snack. Most nights he rejoins me on the bed before I get to sleep, and when he does I give him a few more scritches before saying, "Goodnight, Rocky" -- Steve Touchstone, faithful servant of Sammy, Little Bit and Rocky [remove Junk for email] Home Page: http://www.sirinet.net/~stouchst/index.html Cat Pix: http://www.sirinet.net/~stouchst/animals.html |

Rocky has it made now. You always hear people who say that ferals can't be made into pets. Guess Rocky never read that. Sherry |
