Default Less happy news

Squeaker, my little black kitten, died tonight in my arms following one of
his fits. He had a hole in his heart, and I knew the prognosis wasn't good,
but somehow, somehow, I was just hoping that the paralysis in his legs would
turn out to be something less serious, and more treatable.

He was such a wonderful little guy to have around, even if it was only for a
few weeks. My other cats and I are going to miss him terribly, particularly
Kinky guy with whom he was best buddies.

Absolutely devastated, as you can imagine

Oh, Tara, we are *so* very sorry! That's horrible, horrible news. It's
good that Squeaker was able to know that he had a loving home when his
time came, though. You have our purrs and prayers.

We are sorry to read of your loss, and hope that Squeaker has an easy
journey to the Bridge, and for human hearts to heal.

May his memory be a blessing...

Most of us don't have to imagine. We've all been there. We are
purraying for Squeaker and for you too. My dear friend Patches had a
squeaky meow and we used to nick-name him Squeaky Cat. He's been
gone several years and he also died in my arms. I'm sure we'll all
be reunited some day.

The Cooper Cats send their best purrs. Our house has never had this
happen, we can only imagine. We are sure that Sailor Baylor Brown
would welcome him and keep him company at the Bridge.

Tara,

We had something similar happen to our Spock (also black, 13 months old
when he went to the bridge). He had been to the vet, been neutered,
but they didn't pick up that he had a congenital heart defect. He died
peacefully one night after my son had read to him. My daughter, son ,
and I were devistated in the morning when he didn't wake up, so I can
say I know how you feel. Spock and Squeaker will always live in our
hearts.

*snif* purrs frum de Four heer.... and sympafee from Meowmie.

It doesn't matter how little they are or how short a time they're here
- they have a way of digging a nice big space in our hearts, don't
they?

I'm so sorry. Many of us understand and sympathize.
