Please light a candle for a little gray tabby who went to the RB this
afternoon. We'd never seen him before, but he appeared on our
neighbors' porch, terribly hurt. Our neighbors came and got us (they
thought it was Tiger). Most of his face was gone, but he let me pick
him up and hold him and pet him until the vet could finish his farm
call and get to his office. There was no saving the little guy; he'd
been shot, two days ago by the vet's estimate, and so he was helped on
his way to the Bridge by our good vet.

What kind of person looks at a little furry kittyface and pulls a
trigger? How can the decent humans ever make up for the other kind?

This was turning into a long post, but I have just deleted paragraphs
of rage and frustration I can't even begin to adequately express. I am
glad this group is here - you nice people keep me from despairing of my
entire species.

Oh the poor baby! I don't understand how people can do something like this,
I just don't.

Oh Krista, I'm so sorry. There just is NOT a place bad enough for people
like that. Poor kitty. At least he had some comfort at the end ((((((

*real* gasp.
Oh my.

How absolutely revolting and despicable.

Poor little fellow. Poor brave, sweet little fellow who let you hold
him while in such terrible pain. Mighty, mighty purrs for his
passing.

I am absolutely sick and speechless about this-- bless you for helping
the poor little mite have a safe crossing.

Bless you, Krista, for helping this poor little one when he needed it most.
Purrs for his crossing. Krista, you've helped so many stray babies, even
when the situation was obviously not going to have a good ending. You are
in my thoughts and purrayers.

Tears for this little one. Purrs for his gentle journey to the
Bridge, where no one will ever hurt him again.

The rest I can't answer. Too much rage and pain.

May Sekhmet do as she sees fit to whoever did this.
