qualified to judge behavior or comments in this condescending manner. Or are
you? Is there some qualification you have that I don't know about?

Yes, this is usenet and I know it's a license to say whatever comes to
mind and have a free for all if you want.

No formal qualifications on my part, just curiosity. One thing I always
wonder about is how someone can just go off on someone else on usenet, I
mean sling insults and say things that I can't believe they'd call their
worst enemies in real life. There are things here that get under
people's skin and get their goats, and I mean untie them and take them
to a whole different barnyard.

I agree with CN. But of course we are all entitled to our opinions. What you
don't see is me or CN telling you that yours are not valid, or attributing
them to some sort of "psychological state" you are in. Ugh.

The drama thing was a huge topic in the other group with CN and Kyla.

This is the kind
of **** men have done to women to discount and invalidate them for
centuries.

Well, I didn't think of it that way, so now that we women can notice
behaviors or contradictions in others and verbalize it, is that a step
up or a step down?

Probably that some changes are apt to be needed, both in diet and exercise.

Most definitely - osteoporosis, being a (mostly) women's problem, doesn't
get the press that heart and lung disease does. But smoking is a *large*
factor in the progress of bone decalcification. I don't smoke or drink (or
do drugs) so it didn't apply, but my surgeon told me I couldn't smoke for
the 8 months it will take for this bone to fuse.

An elderly family member has osteoporosis and is a heavy smoker. She broke
both arms and wondered why they did not heal properly. You should have seen
the contraption she devised to allow her to smoke hands free, the first time
one of us turned our backs for five minutes. (We took care of her instead of
putting her in a facility.) She has just been diagnosed with emphysema, and
the mere suggestion that she should quit seems to have made her so nervous
she is smoking more. She is also a recovering alcoholic.

fuse.

My mother had spinal fusion surgery that never did heal properly. (She died
from something else before it could, but she smoked heavily, even after.)
