Default Buster and the Green Dog

Since I started spanking Buster, he's been acting subtly different,
following me around more, wanting more laptime, and sometimes dashing
to the spots where I give him spanks.

Remember I asked the group what objects would be good for spanking a
cat with? Well, I found the answer in the dog toy section of the
local pet store. They have all sorts of soft, sturdy toys for doggies
to chew and play tug-a-war with. So I picked out one that's basically
like a stuffed animal - a thin, foot long dachshund with bright green
fur. Why they have a dog chew toy that's shaped like a dog (even if
unrealistically elongated and cylindrical), I dunno.

Buster enjoyed being spanked with this new toy. At least he did,
until I unknowingly squeezed it and it let out a honk. Buster's tail
puffed up and he ran away. Dot too, who had been watching the
proceedings. I didn't realize until then that it was a squeaky toy!

So from then on, I was careful not to squeeze the toy too hard, or to
step on it. Buster purrs, plucks at the carpet, and occasionally
dashes around in little circles when he is being spanked. He'll also
wrestle the green dog as though it were a littermate. Yesterday, I
saw him gently pick up and carry the green dog in his mouth before
placing it carefully among a pile of his most treasured toys.

Dogs are crazy about them. Not sure why, but they're so silly looking, they
make me smile.

My dog Murphy *loves* that thing!! He takes it everywhere with him. His is
light blue, so we say "There goes Murf-dog and his sidekick, Smurf-dog."

LOL, I was reading the above, and I got so distracted thinking about it
being a dog toy that I was picturing you playing with a dog. Then I read
about his tail puffing up and I got momentarily confused.

Awww! I see Licky carrying stuff around, and it's really cute. But Licky
doesn't have a stash. (At least not that I can see - who knows what he's
hiding?) That's adorable that Buster actually has a pile of his favorite
toys. I hope he doesn't accidentally make it squeak while he's wrestling
it. I wonder if it can be de-squeaked?

Oh, Mir has a real loofa that she loves. She wrestles it and carries it
around and rubs herself all over it.

I wondered how well it would stand up to use with a dog, although it's
more than sturdy enough for a cat. But I wonder if anyone else
actually uses this as a cat toy?

When I first started spanking Buster with it, he would get a look of
bliss, but then look back at what it was that he was being spanked
with and make an expression like, "This feels good, but what *is* that
thing???"

So that's how she keeps herself so beautiful.
