While we're on the topic of whiskers, I have two with unusual whiskers and I
was wondering why....Tahzha has tortie whiskers, which none of my other
torties have, they are striped all different tortie colours, mainly white
and seal, with an occasional orange spot. Like zebra whiskers.
Minnie, her daughter, so far has plain whiskers, but they are 'squiggly' as
if she's had them permed.....so cute. Why would she have curly whiskers?
Does anyone else have a curly whiskered cat??

Miranda has a little twist at the end of her longer whiskers. Being a
Russian Blue, she has dark grey whiskers.

When Tiny Mimi (RB) was with us, there was a serious non-parity in the
whiskers department around here. She had outrageously long
whiskers-- looked very comical, in fact, as she was such a peanut.
But young Stinky's whiskers always seemed on the short side. After
Mimi went to RB, Stinky's whiskers grew to a very respectable length.
Apparently, nobody around here was allowed to have longer whiskers
than the Mimi-Diva. She kept Stinky's whiskers in check, and as
Boyfie seems to do with KFC, Stinky deferred to the older lady.

When Caliban came to me, he had chewed-down whiskers, but they soon grew
to their full size here. Neither Mir nor Frank minded them. Some cat at
his foster mum's did.

Another question about whiskers: Why do some cats have
magnificent sets of both whiskers and eyebrows, while others
have whiskers but no eyebrows at all?
