Chances of that happening in Norfolk are vanishingly small, I'm pleased

Are you a mathematician, Helen? I've heard the phrase "vanishingly small"
many times in math classes, but never in another context, though there's
no reason it couldn't be used anywhere else. Just wondering.

In any case, I'm glad your chances of seeing a mountain lion on a bike
ride are *that* slim!

I have to admit, where I live is great cycling countryside - not too

hilly -
undulations, yes, but no mountains! Plus, at this time of year, there is
wildlife in abundance. It's a rare thing *not* to see some wildlife, be it

a
pheasant (usually see loads of these), rabbits, hares, deer...

The other day when Frank and I were out for a walk, we saw a hare. It calmly
hopped by, barely ten metres away (30 feet). Frank pretty much ignored the
hare, which was just as good because it was larger than Frank.

And how embarrassing would that be, getting one's @ss kicked by a
hare?
