I'm so sorry, Julie. Many purrs for Sam and for you. =o(

I do hope there is some treatment available.

I'm so sorry to hear this news Julie. I hope it is in a lower rib
which
might conceivably be removable surgically. What does TED say
about options, have you heard anything by now?

Lots of love to Sam

Purrs for you Julie and Sam. I hope your vet is able to find a specialist
with more knowledge, and that treatment can begin asap...

I'm sorry, Julie. I hope there is something they can do.

One thing I've learned with these animals is to enjoy every single day
with them.

Oh, {{{{{Julie}}}} I am so sorry. I hope there may be some treatment

Oh Dear Julie and Sam. Purrs and major healing thoughts for Me Sam from all
of us here. We're all so sorry to read this. We were hoping that it
wouldn't be something so major. Please keep us informed about him and how
you ALL are doing. We all love you and yours very much.

Default Thank you for your purrs (was Sam's Results)

Thank you all for your purrs, every one of you. I have read every post and
held them close to my heart as I thought of my friends who care for me and
Sam. Every one of you is so very special. Kili, Joy, Jill, Theresa, Dewi,
Fil, Karen, Annie, Kristie, Sam, Marina, Adrian, Norm, Victor, Tak, Debra,
Shirley, Tina and Melissa. Polonca, (you are always here for everyone. You
are the special envoy of rpca) I would have addressed your purrs
individually except that I thought I might annoy someone with a lot of
"Thank you for your purrs" messages. But your individual messages meant so
much to me. Tension, I addressed your comments below as well as Tweed, Sam,
Shirely and Lesley.

Lesley, Sam appreciated the ham-scented purrs. He said he's never smelled
ham before, it smells enough like bacon that he liked it and now insists
that ham will help him heal better. (I always buy rosemary peso ham and I
think they don't like the rosemary).

Sam, You made me break down and cry, but I appreciate your confidence in my
ability to care for my Sam. I only hope I can give him the kind of care that
Tak gave to his Betty. No question I love him like Tak loves his Betty but I
hope I have the strength that Tak had.

Shirely, I may ping you every once in awhile to get your advice since you've
been here and done this. Where was Bibby's tumor located?

Tweed, I asked my vet if he felt this was a primary tumor and he said he
did. Because Sam has some elevated liver enzymes (ALT) we're going to go
ahead and do an ultrasound prior to his surgery to make sure it hasn't
spread.

Tension, the rib is the 11th rib. The vet feels it is low enough that he
won't have to invade the chest wall to remove it. He might have to reattach
the diaphragm to another rib but we'll cross that bridge when the time
comes. Btw, I did mean osteosarcoma and not osteoporosis. It was late my
years in ob-gyn were kicking in. Thanks for pointing that out. I did get a
chuckle out of the image of Sam with osteoporosis.

Hugs to you Ginger-lyn and Pam as well. Pam, I completely missed your
birthday this year and I am so very sorry. I'll make it up to you next year.
I'll find a totally outrageous card. Thanks for your purrs as well.

Did I not respond to any of the posts? I am so sorry. I thought I had.
Well, I am making up for lost time with belated purrs and prayers for
Sam's surgery and recovery. And many hugs for you.
