I have a Russian Blue mix that does not meow, she squeeks and she
trriillls almost
like if she is rolling her R's. I thought it was strange at first but I
find it
cute now.

What we need to rersolve the TRiilling~~ is for someone -perhaps
someone with their own MC web site to record their Puss Trillingggg
and put the sound file onto their site. ~ then we can all have a
listen

That's a great idea.

I'm sorry, I'm new to this group, but have had three Maine Coons over
the past 30 years, what was the original question?

The question is, what does the famous trilling actually sound like,
and are there any special circumstances when a Maine Coon will trill.
Trying to figure out what distinguishes it from sounds that other cats
make.
