An evening at the Singhs
Last Saturday, a couple of days before China's sonogram, Louie and I
took in the Allentown Arts Festival, a tradition very close to a civic holiday in the Buffalo area. It was a glorious afternoon of art and culture, and walking. Lots of walking. Five hours later, my ham hocks were feeling overcooked after being tenderized on the city streets. We left the festival, picked up some groceries, and came home to rest. I put my sore glutes into bed, put on a Nanny DVD and waited on Louie to fix the popcorn. I was engrossed in chasing a lollipop stuck on Miss Babcock's own glutes, and the cats were coming to check in on me and make sure Mama was okay. From the corner of my eye I saw China hop up on the bed, and she went immediately behind me. "What a good girl my China Doll is!" I said. "Louie! She knows I'm in pain here! What a sweet little baby, wrapping herself around my tuchas so that...YEOWCH!!!" I jerked away from the burn working its way into said tuchas. I missed Louie bringing in the bag of popcorn. He set it on the bed and China gave it a swat into my derriere, curling up on the other side of the fresh, hot, steaming sack. The steam was cooking the ham hocks further than they'd been, and I got a cool cloth to bring my butt to a more normal temperature. Louie joined the cats in laughing at Mama, who was too distracted to notice the smell of popcorn. Blessed be, Baha |

Too funny (sorry, I know you must be sore ;o). Hope the tender areas are
better now! Christine "BfloPolska" wrote in message ...
