I'll never forget the fear I felt when they called to tell me they couldn't neuter Oscar. I was quite relieved (and bewildered) when I found out it was because she was a girl!~ -- monique, who spoils Oscar unmercifully pictures: http://www.bounceswoosh.org/rpca |

I'll never forget the fear I felt when they called to tell me they couldn't neuter Oscar. I was quite relieved (and bewildered) when I found out it was because she was a girl!~ We were fairly convinced we had two boy kittens when we had two girl kittens when we got them home that first day. Yes I have got the book with the nice line drawing to show the difference but trying to inspect the rear ends of two kittens who struggle like mad whilst giving a look that says "My mother warned me about Humans like you!" and check the drawing at the same time isn't too easy. In the end we concluded they had identical rear ends and since they weren't going to get a chance to breed that was all that mattered and anyway did we really want to spend the first day of introducing them to their foreverhome and getting to know them staring at their butts?. We worked it out later but to this day their nicknames include Dunzi- Fella and Sarsi-Fella. Lesley Slave to the Fabulous Female Furballs |
