something. We'll be praying that it's benign and easily treatable.

A lot of the time the tumors that cause deafness in one ear are not
malignant, although they can still be dangerous. My boss's neighbor
had an acoustic nerve neuroma that was treated successfully with
surgery. Brain surgery is a frightening thing regardless.
