Ooh, that sounds sort of expensive. I wonder if there are pet
groomers who would do this? It seems cost inefficient to have someone
who went through years of school and has tons of medical knowledge
clipping nails.

I think the techs at my vet do the clipping - I only pay $14
(which I thought was bad enough).

still have to pay for the office visit.

I've gotten the feeling that most people get the claw clip while they're
bringing the cat in anyway, for something else. Doesn't seem worth a trip
all by itself.

I always wait until the kitty in question is napping blissfully, then get
one paw. This therefore wakes up kitty, and they get upset, so I let
him/her get back to sleep and then do another (sometimes doing a different
kitty while waiting for the first to get to nappytime). Repeat until all
four paws are done.
