What's with politics in a cat newsgroup?
I don't understand why some people post their political views to
rec.pets.cats.anecdotes. Cats are as apolitical as any creature can be, and that's one of the reasons we love them! |

They lose interest when we simply stroll away from their inflammatory agenda. And for the persistent trolls, killfiles are wonderful things. Jill |

Ignore them - we have a couple of illiterate trolls who insist upon posting politics here. (A bit difficult to kill-file, especially the one who uses the Cyrillic alphabet.) |

Oh, I wouldn't say cats are apolitical. About *human* politics, sure. But if you've ever had more than one cat, you can see cat politics in action. My Chloe is old enough to vote in the Scottish independence referendum this autumn, and I'm sure I could get campaign literature sent to her. Tricky one. Your cats eat SMOKED salmon? (I can't even afford it for myself, much less my felines!) LOL! I look at the price per pound from time to time and think, yikes! Of course Scottish smoked salmon is imported. But I haven't eaten it in at *least* 20 years. Even then, I'm pretty sure I had it at a fancy brunch I went to with some friends. The last time I priced it at the store was about five years ago. It was well over USD$25/lb. Love it, won't spend the money on it. I don't know if Persia would eat it. She doesn't seem to care much for "people food". Jill |

Your cats eat SMOKED salmon? (I can't even afford it for myself, much less my felines!) The farmed stuff isn't very expensive, and it's often at sale price if you look in the right places. She only gets little bits of it. She goes for any kind of *very upmarket* people food; Parma ham is fine. Her absolute favourite food is prawns on the shell, if Marion will peel them in front of her. The frozen pre-shelled ones just don't do it for her. I'm going to Italy in a few weeks. If she knew, she'd want to pick out her preferences over a Skype link while I'm in a deli in Venice or Bologna. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- e m a i l : j a c k @ c a m p i n . m e . u k Jack Campin, 11 Third Street, Newtongrange, Midlothian EH22 4PU, Scotland mobile 07800 739 557 http://www.campin.me.uk Twitter: JackCampin |
