Breakthrough!

A bit of progress over each of the past few days...
but....
tonite...
Pit2nya pushed open the door to our bedroom, where Dusty was
sequestered and allowed Dusty to come into the living room.
Pit2nya followed Dusty around the living and dining room.
When she felt at all threatened, Dusty puffed up, humped her back,
puffed up her stringy tail and hissed! Then Pit2nya backed away,
for a little while, and Dusty calmed down.
Then...
Dusty went over to the Turbo Scratcher (she had figured it out earlier)
and started to ver-rey cautiously roll the ball, one eye on Pit2nya to
see what she would do. It was as though they both might decide to
cautiously both do so, back and forth, but not yet. This went on for a
good 5 minutes.
Finally,
Pit2nya turned away and walked over to her Cat Dancer (wire
with rolled up cardboard pieces on each ends). I started to play with
the cat dancer, and Dusty ranranran over to pounce on it...well, that
was just too much for Pit2nya...she puffed up and hissed. So we decided
that was enough of a good thing for one night, and Dusty is back in safe
quarters for the night.
Next morning, both are out and establishing some limits for now.
A bit of nose poking, aome tail fluffing, some stayering, a hiss or two,
They are both testing and being cats...I'll settle for that, as the
first week
comes to an end...
