Default What do you call??

it when they lay on their backs feet all splayed out in the hot weather.
Someone had a cute term for it, but I can't remember what it was.

I don't know a special term for it, but I agree that it looks
hilarious. I have seen not only domestic cats do it, but also lions,
tigers, and bears (oh my!).

My hubby calls it "Splog kitty". With our crew, we have 'frog dog' and
'splog kitty' routines all the time in the summer!

Bono sure is the image of "dead bunny" when he does that:

or
http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/lewemi/detail?.dir=/X-mas&.dnm=Red+hot!.jpg
this is in front of the fire place at my parents'

bunny cause he usually keeps his front paws together (and abys are known as
"rabbit cats")
and the other part because I have to go up to check if he is breathing every
so often ...

Well, "starfish" is a special case, where the cat stays spread out
until you tickle its tummy, at which point it suddenly folds up onto,
and captures, your hand.

Oh, I call it the Aircraft Carrier because Stinky has such a big, wide
white belly, it looks like you could land planes on it.

Clever. The organs (heart, lungs etc) are closest to their chests, and,
cats being cats, know that hot air rises...

No, that's the "Venus flytrap."
